Almost there...

Doctor appointment went well today.  Nothing major to report, it was pretty basic.  My weight looks good, blood pressure is good, baby's heart rate is good.... everything is good!  Other than horrible back pain, right abdominal pain, leg cramps, and lack of sleep... I really can't complain!  We are getting more and more excited as we get closer.  Just a couple more months... wow!

Baby has been movin and groovin a lot!  I do my kick counts everyday, and there is nothing to be concerned about.  Baby is a kicking machine.  It has been so fun not knowing what we are having.  Some people think we are crazy, but we just LOVE a good surprise!  It hasn't been hard at all, like a lot of people told us it would be.  We have names picked out for both a boy and a girl... well, for the most part.  Kenton changes his mind a lot ;)

I haven't really had any "weird" cravings thus far.  My current (not weird) cravings are chocolate, salt and vinegar chips, fries, and honey nut cheerios. YUMMY!  I don't have ANY stretch marks yet, which is amazing.  I'm hoping they don't come at all, but I wont hold my breath.  I started my yoga class at the beginning of January and it is going very well.  For those of you that have never taken a yoga class... it is pretty hard core.  Prenatal yoga is different, I'm sure, but it kicks my butt EVERY class.  It's a great workout!  We focus a lot on stretching, relaxing, and breathing- that will help a lot with labor.

Kenton and I take our first of many classes tomorrow night.  We have our breastfeeding class, which should give me some pointers on how to make breastfeeding as successful as possible.  We have our child birth prep classes starting at the end of February, and they go for 4 weeks (one night a week).  We are getting so close.

Thank you all for your love and support.  I will post some belly pics soon.  Getting bigger every week :)

27 weeks down....

Third trimester, here we are!  We had another successful doctors appointment today.  I passed the glucose test, no gestational diabetes for me!  The orange drink that everyone warned me about, wasn't bad at all!  It tasted like a popsicle in liquid form.  I actually enjoyed it.  Baby is growing perfectly, no worries from this momma, or the doctor.  She did say that baby might have a big head (definitely a Cornett), but it could be they just didn't get a good enough picture of baby's head in the ultrasound.  She said there was NOTHING to worry about though (easy for her to say, I have to push this big head out... LOL).  Everything else is good, my weight is perfect and on track and baby's heart rate is strong.  We go back in 2 weeks.  I can't believe we are at the point where we go to the doctor every other week.

Kenton and I got the crib built today, a fairly successful task.  We haven't decided where to put it yet, we still have some moving around to do, but at least it is built and in the baby's room.  Kenton did most of the work (as it should be), but I did help when he needed me.

Kenton called me a blimp today... well, he did say a beautiful blimp, so I guess I can't get too mad!  I am getting pretty big.  Baby pushes up against my ribs quite a bit, which can be, need less to say, uncomfortable.  I just want this baby to be healthy and happy, I don't care how big I get... (well, to some extent).

We hope you enjoy these pictures!  We love you all very much!

Baby's foot! Sorry it's not the best quality... I had to scan it in.

Baby Cornett- 27 weeks

The Crib!  My friend Heidi made the beautiful quilt!

A few thoughts on my mind...

It is Monday, January 10 at 11:40 pm.  I am lying in bed next to two very sleepy boys.  Kenton and Max have no problem falling asleep, unlike me.  I think my body is getting me ready for baby by keeping me awake late, waking up all through out the night, and not getting enough rest during the day.  Although it is very tiring, it really is worth it.

I am getting very anxious for the day baby arrives.  Kenton and I got the crib already, and have a few ideas of how to put the baby's room together.  We are doing a farm animal/barn theme for the room.  I LOVE animals, and figured it would be a pretty neutral theme, it could go for a boy or a girl.  I will take pictures once we start to put everything together.

The feeling of having a baby inside me is by far the most wonderful feeling in the world.  I love baby's kicks, and ALL the movement going on.  I love when Kenton is able to feel the baby move around, when he feels the little tap against his hand, the look on his face says it all.

Although I am nervous about raising a child, I am very excited and thrilled to be given this amazing blessing in life.  Regardless if we have a precious baby boy, or a sweet little girl, the most important thing is that we love our baby so much.  I pray that we have a healthy and happy baby that grows into a wonderful person.  We have our next doctors appointment on Wednesday, we will give another update and post some more pictures!  Until then.... good night!
